ABC2WIN, Music Notation Software - Shareware program for writing, editing, playback and printing tunes by way of the relatively sophisticated but easy-to-learn ABC Notation system. Transcribe tunes and then print out standard sheet music; compose in ABC, and then listen to the result. An enjoyable and useful tool for trad musicians.
ABCMUS - Shareware for playback of ABC tunes. Nicer sound, more variety of instrument voices than the built-in player of ABC2Win.
HENRIK NORBECK'S ABC TUNES - over 1400 traditional tunes in ABC notation. An excellent source.
CEOLAS - an impressive comprehensive site, with information on the elements of traditional music, tunes, instruments, styles. A great background site.
DICK GAUGHAN'S WEB SITE - pages by the great Scottish singer/composer/guitarist, with a very nice collection of lyrics to trad. Scottish songs, links, info.
DIRTY LINEN - American folk/Celtic/world music monthly magazine, with a sampling of each month's articles at its website.
IRISH FOLK SONG LYRIC COLLECTION - searchable collection of lyrics for over 300 Irish songs.
SESSIONEER - [recipient of The Gold Ring Celtic Website Award] - Mike Simpson's truly impressive site devoted to traditional music, with much emphasis on the tinwhistle. The very best Tinwhistle Guide online, along with extensive tune archives (.gif/.jpg files & midi files), session listings, news and notes, reviews of recordings and instruments, players' directory. An essential site to all players of trad music.
THESESSION.ORG  - Good source for tunes, in sheet music or abc format.  Searchable index, comments on tunes, listings of recorded sources, accepts tune contributions from members.
NEW TOMMY MARTIN - Uilleann Piper  - Nice site of Dublin-born, St. Louis-based uilleann piper Tommy Martin.
TURLOUGH CAROLAN PAGE - [recipient of The Gold Ring Celtic Website Award] - this is an excellent page devoted to the great Irish harper/composer, with midi files of many tunes, good background info on tunes, links to other sites on O'Carolan and the harp in general.
JOHN WHELAN'S WEBSITE: johnwhelan.com -  website of the great box player John Whelan, with biographical info, MP3 clips, tour dates, links, photos,  an online store and more. A good site.

IRISH SET DANCE in North America - a good source for information, events, news, many links regarding Irish Set Dance.
TRADITIONAL DANCE & MUSIC SOCIETY - Non-profit organization in Springfield, MO, which has been organizing dances in the area since 1991.  Dance schedule, links.
